Appel à contributions de Docomomo Ukraine
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference «RETURNING THE LOST: RESEARCH, DOCUMENTATION AND RESTORATION OF THE DAMAGED AND REBUILT MONUMENTS OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE» we are pleased to invite you to take part in our conference, which will take place in Kharkiv, based on Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (KhNUCEA, 40, Sumska St.), which will take place on April 21–23, 2020
The conference continues series of scientific meetings, united by the general theme "Study and Protection of the Inheritance of the National Architectural Modernism", which was started by Kharkiv conferences in 2012 and 2013.
The conference is held jointly by DOCOMOMO Ukraine and KhNUCEA according to the plan of conferences of the Ukraine` Ministry of Education and Science
in 2019 and under the aegis of DOCOMOMO International. The regular meeting of DOCOMOMO Ukraine will take place during the conference.
Please confirm your interest in the scheduled conference with the subject of your speech by filling in the online form by February 21, 2020.
Deadline for submitting abstracts — March 20, 2020. Volume of abstracts — 250 words.
The languages of the conference are Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and English. Abstracts will be published in these languages. Collection of the conference works will be published in these languages too in the nearest future. Materials in English will be printed with Ukrainian text alongside; while abstracts in Ukrainian or Russian will be translated into English.
In order to facilitate the work of the Organizing Committee and to ensure a better quality of translation, the abstracts in Ukrainian and Russian should be sent with the English translation.
We recommend that participants may wish to stay at the hotel "Kharkiv", which is located on 3, Svobody Sq., next to the famous Gosprom complex. It is also possible to stay in other hotels and hostels. Please choose an option acceptable to you and notify us by March 30, 2020.
